Our special guest for the coming party @ Theatre National: JF Leroy
J.F. Leroy started dj’ing about 15 years ago, when Belgium’s dance scene was mostly about deep and other house genres.
He played numerous guest sets at the notorious Food Club (alongside a.o. Sven Vath, Plastikman, Luke Solomon, …) and after producing some records for the legendary Wally’s Groove World label, he ended up playing in about all clubs around the country, with Ten Days Off 2000 as a shining sherry on top.
Getting older and wiser, the club scene started to bore, so he decided to concentrate on more “artistic” projects, but the call of the pounding beat became strong again after a few years of silence.
He picked it up again, and now does his uncompromised own thing, which finds itself somewhere between techno, minimal and more melodic electronics. It’s a little dark from time to time, the perfect graveyard-hours music for people who’re into the not-so-common, but still very dance-able and groovy.

Label Little Helpers (Butane + Someone Else)
Hello,
Little Helpers is a conceptual digital label courtesy of Andrew Rasse (a.k.a. Butane) and Sean O’Neal (a.k.a. Someone Else) launched in December 2009.
Each track is a strong, reduced groove-tool aimed to satisfy the increasing number of digital DJs. Much like the traditional lockgroove vinyl, these tracks are suitable for looping, editing and layering.
Yet at the same time, each track has enough variation to stand on its own. That is, each tune lies somewhere between a full track and a DJ tool — focusing solely on the rhythm or a singular idea rather than extraneous arrangements.
