Rewind Residents

Kopernikko

Involved for a long time in the Techno Scene, KOPERNIKKO is a newcoming talent from Belgium. Since 2007, forming the Rewind collective with friends, he’s also the half-founding part of the Brussels-based Rewind parties. Showing a particular interest in the new american techno wave and its trippy atmospheres, Kopernikko delivers percussive sets based on digital mixing.

Focused on a minimalistic vibe, his music covers a large musical spectrum combining industrial elements & humanoid voices with strenghtened melodies & soulful vocals. In his characteristic style, he develops a tight sound, influenced by a constant research for harmony between darkness and light.

The result is a contemporary techno, reflect of his personal interpretation of modern electronic music.

These days he teams up with his partner KIMICHIKA under the name of SONNE AUTOMNE. With that new projet, he proposes more melodic stuff built around warm grooves and shaking rythms.

Shred

Shred started his DJ career at the age of 17. He quickly acquired his first records and equipments. At that time, he mainly found his inspiration in the mid 90’s techno & electro sounds with big names such as Jeff Mills, Surgeon, Adam Beyer, Luke Slater, …

In 2001, he was offered the opportunity to become resident at DACRU’s private parties. During 2 years, he showed his skills and also played with guests like Marco Bailey & Redhead.

From there, his pure techno style gradually muted in a much more tech-house and minimal music.

In 2008, he joined some friends to create the Rewind Concept Parties in Brussel where he’s also resident.

Romforlove

Romforlove’s sound is situated somewhere between minimal, house and electro. This french producer has always been fascinated by new musical ideas. As a DJ, he likes to make people smile and dance.

When he finished his engineering studies in 2001, he moved to Belgium and began to build a home studio where he started to produce his very first compositions.

Co-founder of the concept Rewind with Kopernikko, it wasn’t until early 2008 that he started his public career, mixing his own productions (producer set).

For Romforlove, 2010 will be the year of new challenges, concepts and sound explorations, notably at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and at Once Upon a Festival!

Alexticy

Alexticy’s encounter with techno music was a bit unusual. It didn’t happen in a club but quite simply, while he was at home chilling with friends and listening to radio. At the end of the 90’s the former popular radio station “Radio 21″ broadcasted recorded sets from the Fuse club. Among those broadcast, he discovered Dave Clarke, whom had build his popularity on playing massive techno sets that were blending together dark-heavy tracks with happy-lighter ones. That style definitely inspired Alexticy at the time and that particular print can still be found in most of his sets today.

Developing his new born passion, he started mixing with Shred in the early 2000 and sidekicked him as a resident of the DRACU’s parties for 2 years long.

He then hosted his own private underground parties in the (in) famous community house nicknamed “La Maison du Diable” in Brussels. This was a great musical period during which minimal music appeared and quickly grew. Alexticy’s style naturally evolved in a minimal/tech/house direction and it s during that process that he met most of the yet to come Rewind’s members.

He is always looking to deliver both original and complex tracks, weaving light-harted and dark melodies. Aiming at only one purpose: to make you move!
