Salut tout le monde,
Voici quelques infos sur un des 2 finalistes du Dj Contest: Coffee Boys.
Christophe Jacob aka Coffee Boys a commencé à s’intéresser à la musique et plus particulièrement à la musique électronique à l’âge de 12 ans.
Il découvrit le monde du deejaying grâce à Mathleb qui lui apprit les bases du mix.
A l’âge de 14 ans Christophe acheta ses premières platines et se mit directement au travail. Il évolua sous plusieurs styles musicaux comme la Techno, la House, l’électro.
Aujourd’hui Coffee Boys n’a pas qu’une préférence musicale, c’est pour cela qu’il évolue toujours sous plusieurs styles comme la Minimal, la Techno, la House et la Tec-House.
Mixant essentiellement en région liégeoise, on peut le retrouver aussi dans certaines soirées bordant la frontière belge.
Toujours à la recherche de nouveautés, Coffee Boys est prêt à tout pour satisfaire le public.

My musical journey lead me to a style which can be best described as minimal techno with some electronical and progressive influences. So that’s a mouth full to say that I’m just having some fun with my gear and I try to make good dancefloor music. Of course as nothing stands still in this world and the only constant is change, I’m also subject to this change and I’ll never know how my next track will sound until I squeezed it out.
I love bringing my tracks for a live audience, cause it’s the best way to get some feedback and I love the energy you get from it. I’m always full of new ideas and I get better insight in my tracks during a live pa.
The past two years have been very promising. I had my first releases on Radioactiva and Silenced and I’m looking forward to future releases on L.Y.H.U.rec and Coincidence.
Next to being a producer I’ve been a dj for more then a decade. In my dj-sets I bring tracks that I like and I try to mix them in a way that respect them. A mix should add something and should not be just a smooth transition imo. I always try to look for a unity in the tracklist without making it boring. So the mix should have a story in it or has to evolve in the direction the crowd leads you. I also love to combine different styles and search for uncommon combinations without losing the unity of the overall mix.
